Data Deletion Request

1. How to request deletion

• Email support@carswipe.ai from the email address associated with your account.
• Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request."
• Include your full name, account email, phone number if applicable, and the account role (Buyer, Seller, or Dealer).
• Describe the information you want deleted or state that you are requesting full account deletion.

2. Verification

To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before processing a deletion request. We may ask for additional information or direct you to confirm control of the account.

3. What we delete

If your request is approved and not subject to an exception below, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account, such as profile details, authentication data, saved preferences, and non-retained listing content, within a reasonable period.

4. Exceptions

• Information we must retain to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
• Records needed to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect security and fraud prevention.
• Payment, tax, and accounting records related to completed transactions.
• Backup copies that are deleted on a rolling schedule according to our retention practices.
• Aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you.

5. Legal retention

Some transaction, security, or legal records may need to be retained even after account deletion. When retention is required, we restrict access and use the information only for the permitted purpose.

6. Processing times

We aim to acknowledge requests within a reasonable time and complete verified deletion requests within approximately thirty (30) days, unless a longer period is permitted by law or necessary due to request complexity.

7. Consequences of deletion

Deleting your account is generally irreversible. You may lose access to listings, leads, saved vehicles, messages, and paid feature history tied to the account.
